On Stranger Tides
Even with characters like Jack Sparrow and Barbossa, the film was strongly lacking in characters we were familiar with and already loved, instead replacing them with characters that we barely knew. Expecting us to care for them after only knowing them for 2 hours.

Dead Men Tell No Tales
This movie was highly enjoyable and fun to watch. However, the performance done by actor Johnny Depp was very lacking. Making it feel like we were watching a movie of someone playing Jack instead of the beloved character himself.
3.
At Worlds End
This movie gave an enjoyable atmosphere, showing new parts of the world we have come to enjoy. As well as keeping familiar and beloved characters, it broadened the films universe. It also gave an enjoyable sequence of showing numerous amounts of our favorite pirate, Jack Sparrow. Although, this movie was sadly lacking in depth, the film attempting to cram to much into one film.
2.
Dead Mans Chest
This movie was a great sequel to the original movie. Giving us a face to the famous name of Davy Jones, and capturing the intriguing imagery of what his creepy crew would look like. You could feel the fear in the characters as well as the audience of this fearsome pirate and crypt crusade.

Curse of the Black Pearl
When you're talking Pirates of the Caribbean, there is no movie better that the original. This movie giving heart and life to the franchise, as well as doing an amazing job setting the world and the story for the series. This film deserves the number one spot for this list, bringing us one of the most beloved of Disney franchises.
